This Web site serves as an online directory of sources of domestic violence data.  The Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Data Resource Center provides information to researchers, practitioners, and members of the public interested in finding, using, or understanding domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking data.   A project of the Justice Research and Statistics Association, with funding from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, the Web site is designed to assist those seeking sexual violence statistics and information.   Access State Profiles for a clickable map of the United States that leads to sources of data available for each state.

In the Spotlight: Family Violence from National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS)

The In the Spotlight Family Violence section of the NCJRS Web site provides statistics, information about family violence legislation, access to federal publications about family violence, and additional information.  Established in 1972, NCJRS is funded by the United States government to offer justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide. 

National Coalition Against Domestic Violence

The mission of the NCADV is "to work for major societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all women and children."  The NCADV works to eliminate domestic violence, empower battered women and children, promote and unify direct service programs, alert and educate the public, and promote partnerships among stakeholders.  Information and statistics are provided through the Web site.  For detailed state-by-state statistical reports about domestic violence, click on the Resources tab, and then on Fact Sheets.  For access to statistical information about the incidence of domestic violence by state click on State FactsNational Facts, also in the Resources section, provides access to several reports about domestic violence in the United States.

Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV)

The Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a state level nonprofit organization. Currently 28 direct service domestic violence programs across Iowa are members of the Coalition.  ICADV staff members provide training, counseling, community outreach, program management and technical support for the coalition members, professionals and the community.  Click on Resources then Facts and Stats to access reports about the prevalence of domestic violence in Iowa and about domestic violence and murder, children, firearms, economic justice, and law.
