Use the databases in this section to look up articles by subject, author, journal, and so on. In some cases, the database provides the full text of the article online; in other cases, only an abstract is provided. See the Databases A-Z and the Databases by Subject headings in the middle of the Rod Library home page.
If a database provides only an abstract of an article, look for the yellow "Find It" button or just the words "Find It." Clicking this opens a window that indicates whether Rod Library has online rights to the article and also provides a link to the library catalog, UNISTAR. So, if a particular database does not have the full text of the article, click the yellow Find It button to see if Rod Library has the whole article in some other database or in print.
Some databases provide a thesaurus of terminology used in the given field. This sometimes can help in figuring out which search terms to use.
