Search for Grantmakers (funding agencies)

Foundation Directory Online Professional: primary search tool for finding funding agencies & grants. Use through Rod Library's link because this is a paid resource. See the video below for an overview of basic features.

Search tips:

  • Use Search Grantmakers (funding agencies) or Search Grants (successful applications).
  • To search both, use Power Search & uncheck all boxes except Grantmakers and Grants.
  • Use indexes provided to see suggested keywords.
  • Consider geography. Not all grantmakers (funders) will fund projects in all geographic areas.

Notes about access: Foundation Directory is available to current UNI faculty, staff, and students both on- and off-campus (CAT ID required if off-campus). For alumni and community members, access is available in Rod Library only.
