History: Gilded Age: Finding Articles

Finding Articles

The following databases will identify articles written about the Gilded Age.  You may find these on the Rod Library home page under the OneSearch tab.  Click on Databases A-Z to find the database you need.

See also The Nineteenth Century in Print (Library of Congress) and Making of America Journals (University of Michigan) for digitized periodicals (and books) from this time period.

Search New York Times (1851-2005): ProQuest Historical Newspapers for the full text of news articles covering the time period of the Gilded Age.  Additional newspapers of this time period may be available from Historical Newspapers Online (Penn Libraries).  Click on the individual links to see if you are allowed to search them.
