Details for submitting a thesis / dissertation and meeting all Grad College submission requirements

Fall 2020 Deadlines


November 6, 2020: Review Deadline

November 10, 2020: Application for Fall graduation due through Student Center*

December 4, 2020: Submission due in to the Graduate College by 4:30 PM in order to be eligible for Fall graduation.

December 9, 2020: As an exception to policy for Fall 2020, December 9 will be considered "end of term" and be the final day students can apply for graduation (with a late fee) all applications received after this date will be considered for a future term.

 

Spring 2021 Deadlines


April 1, 2021: Application for spring graduation due through Student Center*

April 2, 2021: Review Deadline

April 26, 2021: Submission due in to the Graduate College by 4:30 PM in order to be eligible for spring graduation.

May 7, 2021: End of term -- final day students can apply for graduation (with a late fee) all applications received after this date will be considered for a future term.

FORMS

Committee Appointment Form (find one applicable to degree type)

Committee appointment forms should be submitted as soon as a committee has been formed. They must be submitted before a work can be submitted for review.

Final Approval Form (find one applicable to degree type)

Once the student successfully defends their work, an approval form should be submitted. This is an electronic form that will workflow to the committee chair and any other required approvers. Students will not receive notification of approval until after the Graduate College completes the final check and remaining steps are completed. Students should submit their electronic copy to gradcollege@uni.edu as soon as this is submitted (not approved).

Fall 2020 Formatting Workshops will take place via Zoom

These workshops will walk through the formatting requirements. There will be time at the end for questions and students can schedule one-on-one appointments or ask questions via email as well. These workshops are open to students at any stage of the process but may benefit those 1 - 2 semesters away from completion the most.
