Find a Topic

There are many ways to generate topics for an assignment if you are still unsure after reviewing the assignment:

Meet with your professor. They can help you generate, develop, and provide examples of suitable topics.
Chat with your classmates. What are they considering? Brainstorm together to generate ideas.
Think about what you are studying in other classes. Are there ways to intersect or relate ideas?
Brainstorm! Create a mind map of keywords, ideas, items, subjects, and questions you have about the topic.
Browse! Look at news articles, textbooks, and reference materials (e.g. encyclopedias, dictionaries, and almanacs).
