Thesis and Dissertation Manual
Graduate Studies formatting requirements have changed as of Fall 2022. If you began working using the old formatting requirements, please contact kellen.schmidt@uni.edu for assistance. Do not use prior theses or dissertations as a guide for formatting, there are templates located in this guide.
If you prefer to learn through video, our Blackboard Learn site has formatting guides in that style. Check them out here: https://uni.blackboard.com/ultra/organizations/_125711_1/cl/outline

Committee appointment forms should be submitted as soon as a committee has been formed. They must be submitted before a work can be submitted for review.
Once the student successfully defends their work, an approval form should be submitted. This is an electronic form that will workflow to the committee chair and any other required approvers. Students will not receive notification of approval until after Graduate Studies completes the final check and remaining steps are completed. Students should submit their electronic copy to kellen.scmidt@uni.edu and gradcollege@uni.edu as soon as this is submitted (not approved).
