L'Annee Philologique - Opting for Advanced Search

           

Why Advanced Search?   

  1. You need to find journal articles, not books or book chapters.  To limit your results in L'Anee Philologique to journal articles set the "Type of publication" in the Advanced Search to "Article in journal."  
  2. Only about 25% of articles found in L'Annee Philologique are written in English.  Using the "Language of Work" option you can limit your results to English.
  3. In Advanced Search you can limit your search results to articles that truly focus on your topic by either typing your topic (keywords) in the Title option of the Bibliogrpahical search or the All index terms (subject search) of the Thematic search.
                     
           
    In the Title search option you may add an asterisk to the end of a search prefix to find all the forms of a word.
        e.g.   The Title search:      Etru*                looks for Etruscan, Etruscans, Etruria
