Access CMMC only through a library website (or this page)
CMMC is an expensive database paid for by your tuition. You must either be on campus or - if off campus - a UNI student with an active CAT ID.

Do NOT "google" CMMC.

Unlike Google Scholar (or other library databases), CMMC - Communication and Mass Media Complete is focused on communication studies.

Also, unlike Google Scholar, CMMC will allow you to use powerful search techniques (see examples below) and allow you to limit your search results to quantitative, qualitative, or rhetorical research (see examples on other pages of this guide).

To focus your searches using CMMC - Communication and Mass Media Complete try the following commands:

Another powerful technique is to search for your topic (keywords) in the title of articles. To do this change the dropdown menu in the AdvancedSearch from “Select a Field” to “TI Title”

For the following search example the phrase “problem based learning” must appear in the title of the article and math or mathematics or mathematical must appear in the abstract.

Before you search - you may wish to limit your search to “Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals.”
