Mark Twain is a figure which needs little introduction. He was probably one of America’s most prominent authors and satirists. Born Samuel Clemens, his anti-imperialist activism sparked a famous controversy as he implicated many American missionaries in the crimes of recent American imperialist adventures. --- Nathan Spicer
