HIST 1010 - Introduction to Historical Skills

Rod Library provides access to the NYTimes.com for anyone with a valid UNI email address through an academic group pass. Individual registration is required. With your account, you will have full access to the extensive breaking news, world news, and multimedia of The New York Times.

1. Head to https://www.nytimes.com/ and click on Log In (upper right-hand corner of page).
   
2. Click on "Continue with Google"
   
3. Use your CAT ID
   

 
 

1. Click on the three-horizontal-lines icon (the "pancake" icon" in the upper lefthand corner of the main New York Times page (next to the "search" icon)
   
2. Slide to the bottom of the options and hover over the "More" option
   
3. Slide over to the menu that then pops up and click on the TimesMachine option
   
   Alternatively, after logging into New York Times you could type in the web address https://timesmachine.nytimes.com

Searches can be limited by date.
Results can be limited to articles, editorials, cartoons, advertisements.
