This guide is a curated list of books available in the University of Northern Iowa Rod Library Youth Collection. The purpose of this guide is to help UNI faculty, staff, and students to quickly find books pertaining to a variety of sociocultural topics. The guides also serves as a pedagogical tool that enables faculty to teach children's literature from a diverse range of sociocultural issues. Thus, this guide facilitates crucial cultural competence in the UNI pre-service teachers.
