You’ve probably used the Google search engine hundreds if not thousands of times but did you know with a few simple commands, you can take control of Google?

Practice: Google Commands

During your previous Google searches, you may have encountered Google Books, a repository of over 25 million eBooks and magazines.

Directions:

Find a government (site:.gov) or education (site:.edu) website on a topic of your choice using at least two Google commands. Create a discussion post with the following:

  1. Your name and unit in the Title section.
  2. Your search terms in the Body section.
  3. A brief explanation of how the website could be useful for a research assignment.
  4. A link to your website using the link option in Padlet (step-by-step instructions).
