Motivation  
Questions/Goals

1) We do not have any clear instructions on who to enter stats into the Event form when multiple staff members/units host one event.

2) We do not have any clear ideas about what to do with stats collected especially from a perspective of partnerships.

Methods/Steps

 

Results

1) "Library Contact (name)" has been changed to "Primary Host" with "Secondary or Co-Host," which is a similar idea that we applied for our instruction form

Also, a warning message, "Please make sure that only one entry is made by one designated person for one event," was added to prevent multiple entries for one event.

2) It was suggested that we'd better add the dropdown menu with options (e.g., Academic Departments/Programs, Office of Admissions, Office of Alumni Relations, ARCTIC Center, Career Services Office, Learning Centers, International Student Office, Student Affairs Office, Teaching & Learning Office, Distance Learning Office) to "Partner/Host/Tour Contact" for us to use captured information in enhancing or developing existing or new partnerships or demonstrating our partnership status to external members. (This idea is drawn from the 2021 ACRL trends survey about library instructions and group presentations.)

To decide how to and what to revise this form further, we can ask questions, such as:

  • Do we want to learn about space usage by month, date, and times to understand when/what times are busiest throughout one year?
